documentary
Premiere of brand new documentary film
In the autumn of 1943, Copenhagen's Bishop Fuglsang-Damgaard risks his life when he sends a letter to the German occupying power. The letter is subsequently read out in the Danish folk churches and is a sharp criticism of the Nazis' persecution of the Jews. At the same time, the letter calls on the Danes to help their Jewish fellow citizens.
Historian Bent Blüdnikow and former chief rabbi Bent Lexner take us on a journey that tells the unknown story of Fuglsang-Damgaard and his fight against Nazism.
