At the service we remember the landmark days in October '43, when the Danish Jews fled across the strait to Sweden with the help of the local population. The vast majority of Danish Jews were saved, but there were also some who did not manage to get to safety. We remember this dark chapter in history, we remember the victims and then we remember the light in the darkness - the acts of charity that helped save so many lives.
