Lectures

"Words can act like tiny doses of arsenic - Klemperer was right". Come along to a lecture on the impact of language in Nazism at the Jewish Culture Festival in Copenhagen

In 2019, Knud Lindholm Lau published the book: LTI - Lingua Terrii Imperii (The Language of the Third Reich), written by Victor Klemperer in 1947 as a contribution to de-Nazification and excellently translated into Danish by Henning Vangsgaard in 2010. As a Jew, Klemperer was forbidden to speak himself, but as a literate he analyzed signals in language - Hitler's speeches, everyday language and clothing - and the sociology and psychology of our time proves him right: the violent language affects both the individual and society. The lecture shows how LTI crept in everywhere. Yes, even Jews and few brave people of resistance adopted the mentality. After the lecture, there will be an opportunity to comment on LTI's current importance.
