The Danish Jews in Theresienstadt - Copenhagen
2. November 2023
Lectures
Join us for an exciting lecture when Silvia Goldbaum Tarabini Fracapane talks about the Danish Jews in Theresienstadt.
In connection with the Jewish action in October 1943, 470 Jews were arrested and deported to the Theresienstadt Ghetto, where they stayed for a year and a half. The lecture is based on their perspective, their experience of capture and deportation and daily life during captivity in Theresienstadt.
Silvia Goldbaum Tarabini Fracapane's research is based on a large amount of material that originates from a third of the survivors, including diaries, testimonies, letters, questionnaires filled in after returning home, later accounts and interviews with survivors.
Bow The life and death of Danish Jews in Theresienstadt will be published on Gyldendal in September.
